Elevate

Elevate is a Figma-created mockup of a music streaming and purchasing platform designed for desktops. It is designed to be a simple to use program that allows users to download and listen to podcasts, songs and purchase their favorites if they do not wish to buy a subscription.

The colour of the logo that my partner and I had decided on. From the start we wanted a colour that would pair well with blue and decided to utilize orange as we thought it went well with the black we had chosen.

The colour used to highlight important buttons and selections tide to them. We wanted to have them standout so users can recognize them and their importance easily.

From the start I wanted the app to have a dark theme and after receiving feedback from user testing; we settled on a black that that keeps every component visible.

The main colour for all of the fonts used in the buttons and UI/UX elements. I wanted to use white against a dark background without being too bright and overwhelming.

01 Fonts and colours

From the beginning we wanted to use a font that had no confusing characters or any symbols that could mislead the users. I bounced back and forth with my partner deciding on which fonts to use until we tried out Nunito. We found that it had no confusion amongst our peers and during user testing no one had any complaints regarding our choice in font.

02 Buttons and Comopnents

All assets and buttons aside from the logo were made in Figma. The design inspiration came from Spotify and Apple Music. We tried to blend simplistic menus with contrasting colours together to avoid confusion as to what any buttons or inputs mean.

Purchase Page

For the purchase page I took inspiration from the apple music store with some of the layout elements and wanted to add a recommended section. As well as providing information regarding the song and having an add more option.

Music Player Page

We wanted to keep this page as simple as possible as to not confuse any users. We believed that utilizing only necessary features would be the best idea for this page.
