Yu-Gi-Oh Demo

A task maker app targeted towards those with ADHD that I worked on with 5 other teammates; 2 coders and 3 other designers. It is designed to help those with ADHD focus on their daily tasks and personal goals with friendly reminders that they can customize. The app offers free earnable rewards that users earn by completing their tasks.

Illustrations

#45EAF7

The main colour used in nearly all of the UI/UX elements and text boxes. It's a colour I've worked with before and is capable of being used for Sci-fi inspired elements while not being too bright.

#FF00FF

A secondary colour used to highlight the elements of the enemy in the demo. The colour is commonly associated with the character (Atem) from the movie.

#1A1A1A

The background paired with the offwhite text to prevent the text from overlapping from the visuals on screen. A lower opacity version was used as to not obstruct the other colours

E7ECF3

Used as the main font colour to stand out and be eligible on a dark background without being blindinly bright like regular white would

Fonts and colours

For Lifepoint values, I used Exo bold as I thought it paired well with my assets and gave off a game-like feeling. Montserrat Alternates was used for all of the UI/UX text and dialogue within the demo. I wanted a font that stood out as different from most you'd see be used in games but still readable and enjoyable to see.

Assets and Layout

I used other online card games as reference for the layout of the game. I also want it to look similar to the movies layout of their duels.
